Infante, Marlins Walk Off in Game 1

By on September 20, 2011

Down to their last strike the Florida Marlins got a hit from Emilio Bonofacio, due to Chipper Jones not able to see the chopper to 3rd bacause of the lights.  Then with the count 1-0, Omar Infante ripped a game winning 2 run homerun to win the game for the Fish 6-5.

The Braves were down for almost the entire game until they rallied in the 7th inning to score 4 runs and take a 5-4 lead.  Dan Uggla and Jason Heyward both hit homeruns, and Mike Stanton of the Marlins hit 2.

Mike Minor started for the Braves, and gave up 4 runs; all scored on homeruns.  Ricky Nolasco pitched 6 2/3 for Florida, giving up 4 earned runs.

The Braves wildcard lead shrunk to 2.5 games with the Cardinals win tonight.

Randall Delgado takes the mound for Atlanta tomorow.
